Search: VISERS and McCANS, 1837
Search: VISERS and McCANS, 1837I have recently found that my Visers and McCans were in
early Panola County. They are on the 1837 census and I
found them in Minute Book 1.at Sardis Courthouse. As of
yet, I cannot find any deeds for them. I will go to the
Batesville Courthouse my next trip to Mississippi.
AF Viser was the Court clerk for "the town of Panola" in
1836-37.(from Min. BK 1) Was there a town called Panola? If
so where was it?
Does your Society have local members who research for a
fee?
Thank you so much.
